Computational Biologist Dr. Keith Robison Invests $25,000 in Immunomatics
Angel investment adds momentum to Immunomatics’ equity crowdfunding campaign and brings support from an experienced computational biology leader
SAN MARCOS, CA (September 3, 2026) Immunomatics, Inc., a health technology company developing artificial intelligence-based tools to improve transplant donor selection, today announced a $25,000 investment from computational biologist and angel investor Keith Robison, PhD.
Dr. Robison is an experienced computational biologist with extensive expertise in genomics and emerging life-science technologies. He is also the author of Omics! Omics!, a widely followed blog examining developments across genomics, biotechnology, and computational biology.
“Keith understands both the potential and the challenges of using computational biology to solve difficult problems in medicine,” said Lidio Meireles, PhD, Founder and CEO of Immunomatics. “Having a scientist with his depth of experience invest personally in Immunomatics reflects confidence not only in our mission, but also in the scientific approach we are taking to an extraordinarily complex problem.”
Immunomatics is developing predictive models designed to better estimate the risks associated with different donor-patient combinations in transplantation. Current donor-selection approaches rely heavily on HLA matching, but different mismatches carry different levels of clinical risk. The company aims to provide clinicians with better risk information when evaluating potential donors.
“Transplants are high-risk, high-reward interventions. I invested in Immunomatics because they're reducing that risk by combining computational immunology with state-of-the-art predictive AI,” said Keith Robison, PhD.
The $25,000 investment adds momentum to Immunomatics’ equity crowdfunding campaign, which allows individual investors to participate in the company’s potential future growth alongside scientists, healthcare leaders, and other early supporters.
“Every new investor helps us move another step closer to validating this technology on larger clinical datasets and building the infrastructure necessary to bring it into clinical practice,” Meireles said. “We are grateful to Keith for joining us on that journey.”
