Immunomatics, Inc., a healthtech startup founded by a transplant survivor, invites the public to invest in the company's mission to reduce life-threatening complications for transplant patients and expand access to safer transplants through precision donor-recipient compatibility scoring.

Immunomatics is building machine learning software that estimates the risk of specific donor-recipient incompatibilities before transplantation. Unlike current clinical practice, which treats most HLA mismatches as equally risky, the company's platform analyzes the molecular details of each mismatch to produce a rejection-risk score designed to help transplant teams select safer donors and personalize immunosuppression post-transplant.

The medical need is substantial. Roughly 20% of kidney transplants fail within five years, forcing patients back onto dialysis and transplant waitlists. In blood
stem cell transplantation, graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) affects 15 to 35
percent of recipients and is a major cause of morbidity and mortality. Blood
cancer relapse rates remain high, ranging from 25 to 50 percent depending on disease risk. Immunomatics aims to improve transplant outcomes through optimal donor selection.
